Absolutely!! Not sure if he is being "used" by others but he has certainly used many people during his lifetime.

Sometimes a society needs people like Trump to show how corrupt and indecent people can be. They need an exagerrated example to hilite the need for change.

Americans needed a president elected to a 4th term to see the problems with unlimted terms of office (giving rise to the 22nd amendment).

We needed McCarthy to expose the tyranny of political attacks.

The US Constitution is one of the greatest instruments in history as a blueprint for a democratic government.

That document will need amending, in areas such as limitations of presidential pardons and modifications to the terms and appointments of federal judges, at the least.

Trump's reckless stewardship of the state is probably necessary to expose the flaws in our great governing contract. But he is not someone to be pittied or praised.

For now and today, we still have a republic….if we can keep it.
