Aurelius and the Stoics’ philosophy is well represented in Niebuhr’s prayer:

“Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference.”

James is not really considered a Stoic but his philosophy is similar:
