Bravo.

It is not that AA doesn't work for some people, it is that it does not work for ALL people.

This is the problem with court-ordered AA. It can have the opposite effect.

It is not so much that AA is based on a religious ideology, it is that AA IS a religious ideology.

Alcohol and addiction and the comorbid maladies are the problems. The solution is not to force people to join a religious sect (like AA), it is to identify the reasons for the addiction in the individual and prescribe a treatment that meets it.

But that is more expensive, so we don't do it.
