I agree that the Zoomers are not devolving English: English is poorly evolved in the first place. Here we have a language that uses Germanic syntax with a vocabulary that is mostly Greco-roman!! Whose idea was that??!!!

I still feel sorry for all the kids that are supposed to correctly pronounce and spell words such as “though,” “tough” and “ghost.” The advanced aliens, that sent down the Latin language from their mother ship, didn’t understand that, left on our own, we were too stupid to effectively develop other languages from it.

Kids need to be taught Latin and Greek just to be able to understand the apparent irregularities in their native English!!

Let the language evolve! Let it become more efficient, but teach the King’s English so kids know that they ”ain’t gonna get no job” by writing that way in their resume cover letter 😉.
