Those who cry out: "I have thrown off the yoke of an unfair life," I have washed that man right out of my hair"....."Freedom!" seem to be trying to convince themselves that it is a better life, more than others.

Maybe it is a psychological defense mechanism -maybe it is in lieu of electroconvulsive therapy. But it is a problem that, although with differences, is not consigned to one gender.
