When I got divorced from a long term marriage, I became very concerned about being single for a length of time. I still am.

My observations about the single people I know (and have dated) is that the longer you remain single, the more difficult it is to navigate a long term relationship.

Successfully being in a relationship requires skills. And skills can be lost through desuetude.

Being single does not always end in your holing up in a cave and writing anarchical manifestos. But if I end up publishing one on this site, you will know what's going on ;-).
